I worked in Television and Film for over a decade as a writer. Spending every day with groups of storytellers obviously helped me develop a sense of narrative, but it also taught me important skills in project management, multilevel review, iterative drafting, coordination with multiple stakeholders, precision in communications, and the importance of avoiding shrimp that’s been sitting out at craft services.

• Narrative and Messaging: Wrote scripts, storylines, and jokes for network television (Call Me Kat, B Positive, Will & Grace, 2 Broke Girls). Television is a churn. Shows go on and off the air, and a good writer mast adapt to new stories, characters, voice, audience, and customers on a daily basis at high level of performance and scrutiny.

• Compliant Creativity: I was responsible for submitting all creative content for review to multiple stakeholders to successfully integrate legal, clearance, studio, and network notes. This ensured both creative execution and strict compliance alignment before production could proceed.

• Rapid Editorial Management: Served as an editorial gatekeeper, managing daily changes and communicating them to multiple departments across high-volume production deliverables, which required superior attention to grammatical and logistical detail.

• Content Adaptation: Oversaw the technical process of preparing and migrating written content (scripts), shepherding content through each stage of execution—pre-production, production, and post-production.

• Social Media Management: Created content and led responses for high-profile accounts, including executive producers and actors.
